I work as a Web Developer and Systems Administrator at a sixth form college in the south of England.

The nature of my work at the college has meant that I've had experience in several different aspect of the IT world. Not just developing web appplications, but also managing servers and the flow of data in the organisation.

The Parent Portal is a web site that allows the parents of students at the college to view information about their son or daughter. This includes access to timetables, attendance data and a selection of internal Intranet sites.

For this I had to develop an account management system that allows people to log in over SSL and change their details and password.

The Attendance system is web based software on which teachers take their registers. It was designed primarily with usability in mind and is quick and easy to use. A working demo version is available on this site.

An intranet based, multi-user interactive diary that allows both Counsellors and students to book appointments. Written in PHP with a MySQL database backend and a little bit of Javascript.
